A modern greenhouse complex for growing vegetables has been built and put into operation at the Nurly meýdan farm in the Bereket district of the Balkan velayat, reports Turkmenistan: Golden Age.
Representatives of the Balkan velayat and Bereket etrap hakimliks, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, public organizations, members of the Halk Maslahaty, members of the Mejlis, respected elders, and local residents participated in the opening ceremony of the new facility.
During the ceremony, valuable gifts were presented to the construction workers who had distinguished themselves during the project on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan. The ceremony was accompanied by songs and dances performed by artists from the velayat.
After the elders' blessing, the participants were shown the greenhouse's interior and its production capabilities. The greenhouse covers 10 hectares. The surrounding area is landscaped and also houses technical and auxiliary facilities.
Furthermore, the new greenhouse is equipped with cutting-edge technology from companies in the Netherlands, Türkiye, Greece, Italy, Spain, and elsewhere. Its annual production capacity is designed to grow 2 thousand tons of tomatoes.
Elite tomato seeds imported from European countries have already been planted in the greenhouse and have begun to produce their first harvest, the source notes.
