The “Galkan” team of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan won the “Neutrality Cup” hockey tournament, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the country's neutrality. In the final, played at the ice arena of the “Galkan” Winter Sports Center, the Ministry of Internal Affairs team defeated the “Shir” team of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations 9-7.
The tournament brought together eight teams from various departments and organizations of Turkmenistan. The competition was organized by the Turkmenistan Hockey Federation with the support of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Physical Culture and Sports.
The tournament's decisive match between “Galkan” and “Shir” was a true highlight of the competition. Both teams demonstrated a high level of preparation and a will to win. The final score, 9-7, in favor of the MVD hockey players was the result of a tight game in which the advantage shifted back and forth. “Galkan” capitalized on its chances in key periods of the match and deservedly won the tournament's main trophy.
The match for third place, between Oguzhan (“Turkmengasavtomatika” Directorate of the “Turkmengaz” Concern) and “Alp Arslan” (Transport and Communications Complex of Turkmenistan), was no less crucial. The Oguzhan hockey players demonstrated team cohesion and tactical acumen, allowing them to secure victory and climb to third place on the podium.
The winners and runners-up were awarded valuable prizes and gifts with the support of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan.
