Military units in Turkmenistan are holding ceremonies to discharge military personnel who have completed two years of conscript service. The procedure is being carried out in accordance with the Decree of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the discharge of conscripts and the next conscription of citizens for military service for the period October–December 2025.
All personnel—officers, sergeants, and soldiers—line up on the parade grounds of military units. Commanders congratulate the servicemen who have completed their service, emphasizing that they have honorably fulfilled their military duty, standing guard over the independence, territorial integrity, and constitutional order of the state.
Particular attention is paid to those who excel in combat, drill, and social and humanitarian training. In the presence of their fellow soldiers, mentors, and families, service members who demonstrate outstanding performance are presented with certificates of honor and commemorative gifts. Commanders commend their discipline, responsibility, and contribution to strengthening the country's defense capability.
Soldier Vepa Hudayberenov said: "These two years have been a real learning experience. We've learned a lot, grown stronger, and matured. I'm proud to have served the Fatherland." His fellow soldier, Charymurat Muhamedov, added: "Our service has taught us patience, mutual support, and responsibility. These qualities will be useful in everyday life."
Most soldiers will soon be heading home to their families and loved ones. In accordance with established procedures in the country's military units, discharge procedures will continue throughout the current conscription campaign.
