The Turkmenistan Traditional Karate Team successfully competed at the Asian Championships, which took place from November 15 to 25, 2025, in the capital of Uzbekistan.
Turkmen athletes won 18 medals of various denominations: 9 gold, 6 silver, and 3 bronze. Approximately 500 athletes from 10 countries in the region participated in the tournament.
Nine representatives of Turkmenistan won gold medals in various age categories and disciplines. The champions included athletes in individual kata and kumite in weight categories ranging from 8-9 years old to 16-17 years old. Six Turkmen karatekas won silver medals, and three more won bronze medals.
