Last week, 48 transactions were registered at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan. The total amount of currency transactions amounted to more than 4 million 38 thousand USD.
Representatives of business circles from Afghanistan and Uzbekistan used foreign currency to purchase liquefied gas produced at the technological installations of the state concerns “Turkmengaz” and “Turkmenhimiya”.
Cotton yarn and raw fabric were also sold for foreign currency. Buyer countries: Great Britain, Kyrgyzstan, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
Turkmen businessmen purchased base oil and petroleum road bitumen (SC "Turkmenneft") for the domestic market, as well as cotton yarn and hand-made carpets for a total of over 97 million manats.
