Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Malawi Nancy Tembo. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the conversation, the heads of the foreign policy departments discussed the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for their further development. The parties expressed their mutual commitment to expanding cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.
The ministers also exchanged views on current issues on the international and regional agenda.
Particular attention was paid to issues of preparation for the upcoming Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3), which will be held in Avaza in August of this year.
