"Dainava" from Alytus beat "Riteriai" 2:0 in an away match of the 18th round of the Lithuanian football championship. The match took place in Vilnius.
Goals for "Dainava" were scored by Artem Baftalovsky (22nd minute) and Davor Rakich (45th minute).
The team led by Turkmen specialist Mergen Orazov won its second victory in a row in the A-League – earlier the club beat "Banga" (2:1) in the 17th round.

After this victory, "Dainava" has gained ten points and is in 10th place in the Lithuanian championship standings. "Riteriai" is in 9th place with 13 points.
In the next match, "Dainava" will face FC "Džiugas" on their home field on July 6.
It should be noted that Mergen Orazov took charge of the Lithuanian club after working with the Turkmenistan national team, which he coached since January 2023. The most successful period in the specialist's career was the leadership of the Turkmen "Ahal". Under his leadership, the club became the champion of Turkmenistan for the first time in history and won its first victory in the AFC Champions League, beating Qatar's "Al-Gharafa" 4:2. In 2022, Orazov was recognized as the best coach of Turkmenistan.
