The Pakistani government has officially nominated US President Donald Trump for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize, Gazeta.ru reports, with reference to the Pakistani cabinet's social media page.
As specified in the publication, the initiative is connected with the role of the American leader in de-escalating the recent conflict between India and Pakistan. The Islamabad authorities noted Trump’s “diplomatic intervention”, his “strategic foresight” and “outstanding statesmanship”, which, according to them, became key to reducing tensions between New Delhi and Islamabad.
