On June 19, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to Turkmenistan Rana Abu Hijleh. During the meeting, the diplomat presented copies of her credentials, officially taking up her duties, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
The head of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry congratulated the new ambassador on her appointment and expressed his readiness to provide comprehensive support in the implementation of her diplomatic mission.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects of Turkmen-Palestinian cooperation, noting their interest in intensifying interaction in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
The importance of coordination between the countries on international platforms was also emphasized. At the end of the meeting, Ms. Hijleh assured that she would make every effort to strengthen the partnership between Turkmenistan and Palestine.
