Turkmenistan continues to provide humanitarian support to foreign citizens arriving from Iran, providing a 24-hour humanitarian corridor.
As reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, to date, hundreds of people from India, China, Pakistan and other countries have crossed the border through checkpoints in Turkmenistan.
"The Turkmen authorities ensure the transit of these citizens, facilitating their return to their homeland. This activity is carried out in cooperation with diplomatic missions of foreign states in Ashgabat," the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Earlier, we reported that about 120 foreign citizens crossed the Iranian-Turkmen border due to the situation in the Middle East.
