Turkmenistan participated in the 13th meeting of the World Customs Organization (WCO) Regional Training Centres in the European Region, which was held on 11-12 June in Baku in the building of the WCO Regional Capacity Building Office.
Turkmenistan was represented by the Director of the Training Center of the State Customs Service Guvanchmurat Muradov. This was reported on the website of the customs service.
The meeting discussed the current state of regional cooperation, best practices, international educational programs, and strategic objectives of regional educational centers for the future.
Guvanchmurat Muradov noted in his speech that at the meeting of the heads of customs administrations of the countries of the WCO European Region, held on April 29-30 this year in Brussels, the proposal to recognize the Training Center in Ashgabat as the WCO Regional Training Center was unanimously supported. Currently, the center is actively working on the development and implementation of international-level training programs.
Turkmenistan confirmed its readiness to contribute to the modernization of the regional customs system in accordance with the WCO development goals.
