In the first days of summer, participants of the international dance and folklore festival "Avaza - the land of friendship" from friendly countries arrived in the capital, and yesterday they went to the Balkan velayat by rail. The guests were greeted in accordance with the traditions of Turkmen hospitality with bread and salt and songs.
Participants of the festival at the Turkmenbashy railway station and in the “Dayanch” health and entertainment center of the “Avaza” national tourist zone watched performances by the children's dance and folklore group "Caspian Pearls", the vocal group "Tolkun" and the folklore ensemble "Sumbar" of the Balkan velayat.
The diversity of national costumes and the melodic sounds of folk instruments further increased the guests' interest in Turkmen art. The joint performance of the dance "Kushtdepdi", included in the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage of humanity, was especially memorable.
The International Dance and Folklore Festival “Avaza – Land of Friendship”, which opened today, June 4, on the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea, promises to be full of interesting and joyful events.
