The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will pay a working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan to participate in the XVI International Economic Forum “Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum”. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

As noted in the Foreign Ministry, Turkmenistan’s participation in this event is considered in the context of expanding strategic partnership with the Russian Federation and strengthening ties with the Islamic world in the political, economic, trade and humanitarian spheres.

During the visit, meetings of the National Leader of the Turkmen people with the leadership of Russia and high-ranking representatives of the Russian government are planned.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, special attention is paid to the development of cooperation with the Republic of Tatarstan, which has significant industrial potential. Recently, Turkmen-Tatar relations have received a new impetus in the spheres of economy, transport, agriculture and food industry.

The international exhibition ”Russia Halal Expo 2025” is being held within the framework of the forum, where the national exposition of Turkmenistan is traditionally one of the most representative. It demonstrates a wide range of goods from Turkmen manufacturers, which, according to experts, meet high international quality standards.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the visit of the delegation of Turkmenistan is intended to become a significant event in the development of Turkmen-Russian interstate cooperation and strengthening the country’s ties with the states of the Islamic world.
