According to Marca, "Bayer" Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso has reached an agreement with "Real Madrid" to sign a three-year contract after the end of the current season.
"Real" will pay compensation to the German club, since the 43-year-old Spanish specialist's current agreement with "Bayer" runs until June 2026.
It should be noted that Alonso has experience playing for "Real" - he defended the colors of the Madrid club from 2009 to 2014 as a player.
The current coach of the "royal club" Carlo Ancelotti will leave the team after the match of the final round of La Liga against "Sociedad", which will take place on May 25. The decision to part ways was made after "Real Madrid's" elimination from the Champions League in the quarterfinals, where the team lost to London's Arsenal on aggregate (0:3, 1:2). It is expected that the Italian coach will soon lead the Brazilian national team.
