During an online meeting between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the Regional Office for Capacity Building of the World Customs Organization in Europe (ROCB Europe), key aspects of the establishment of the WCO Regional Training Center (RTC) in Ashgabat were discussed. This was reported on the website of the Customs Service of Turkmenistan.
The meeting was attended by the Head of the Training Center and representatives of the State Customs Service from the Turkmen side, and by the Director of the Office Antonio Lo Parco, Mirhasan Seyidzade and other representatives of the organization from ROCB Europe.
During the discussions, the strategic vision and expectations from the activities of the RTC, as well as priority needs in the field of capacity building and training, were presented.
The parties expressed mutual interest in developing cooperation and confirmed their desire for active joint work within the framework of the initiative to establish a RTC in Turkmenistan, the source notes.
Recall that from March 31 to April 4, a mission of the World Customs Organization (WCO) was in Ashgabat to provide technical assistance in preparing a strategic plan for the Regional Training Center in Turkmenistan.
