Within the framework of the project “Support to the implementation of a pilot system of interdepartmental electronic information exchange in Turkmenistan”, implemented by UNDP and the “Türkmenaragatnaşyk” Agency, work is underway to implement the X-Road platform, which will help speed up and improve the reliability of data exchange between government agencies.
X-Road is a centrally managed level of distributed data exchange between information systems, which provides a standardized and secure way of producing and consuming services.
The X-Road platform has the following advantages:
- Confidentiality. Ensures that only authorized users have access to data;
- Integrity. Ensures that data remains unchanged and accurate throughout its journey;
- Compatibility. Allows for seamless data exchange between different systems and organizations, regardless of their underlying technology.
We previously reported that Turkmenistan would introduce a system of interdepartmental electronic information exchange.
