The Consulate General of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Turkey organized a briefing dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as the upcoming 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality. The event brought together representatives of academic circles and students from Central Asian countries, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.

During the briefing, Consul General of Turkmenistan in Istanbul M. Ovezov focused on the significance of international initiatives put forward by Turkmenistan and emphasized the importance of events dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust.

The participants were informed about the special symbolism of 2025, which will mark the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations.

The event was attended by the heads of Bahçeşehir University, representatives of the Club “Turkic World” of higher educational institutions of Istanbul, students from Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, as well as local media correspondents.

The presentation of the book ”Hakyda göwheri” by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also took place within the framework of the briefing.
