1. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Euronews television company Pedro Vargas David. Speaking about bilateral contacts with Euronews, the head of state emphasized the advisability of expanding them in such areas as popularizing the cultural and historical heritage of Turkmenistan in the world and developing tourism.

National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Euronews television company Pedro Vargas David. Noting the influence of the information sphere on the public, which is rapidly developing in Turkmenistan on the basis of advanced technologies and innovations, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov confirmed the country's readiness to continue to expand its partnership with the Euronews television company.
3. The possibility of accreditation of Euronews journalists in Turkmenistan with the subsequent opening of a correspondent office in Ashgabat was discussed at a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the chairman of the board of directors of the television channel Pedro Vargas David. Noting the positive experience of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Euronews, the parties spoke in favor of developing partnership on a systemic basis with the use of new formats.
4. Turkmenistan Airlines has extended the suspension of flights from Ashgabat to Moscow until March 31. The airline's press service emphasized that passengers should contact the place of purchase to arrange a forced return of their tickets. It should be noted that today, a direct flight of the Russian airline S7 continues to operate between Moscow and Ashgabat.

National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited Italian President Sergio Mattarella to take part in the International Forum of Peace and Trust. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan following a meeting between Ambassador Toyli Komekov and Diplomatic Advisor to the President of Italy Fabio Cassese. During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. The International Forum of Peace and Trust is planned to be held in Ashgabat on December 12.
6. Two innovative medical institutions in Ashgabat have been awarded the prestigious GERMAN DESIGN AWARD WINNER 2025 certificates by the German Design Council Rat für Formgebung. The International Health and Rehabilitation Center and the International Scientific and Clinical Center of Physiology were recognized for their outstanding architectural features and modern medical equipment that meets international standards.The 400-bed International Health and Rehabilitation Center and the 250-bed International Scientific and Clinical Physiology Center were opened in October last year. Both facilities were built by the Turkish company GAP Inşaat.

2. The International Olympic Committee has accepted the resignation of its current president, Thomas Bach, who submitted his resignation to the executive committee this week. The decision will come into effect on June 23, when the new head of the organization will be appointed.Bach has served as IOC President since 2013 and was re-elected for a second four-year term in 2021.
