American singer Katy Perry is preparing for a space flight on a ship of the Blue Origin company, owned by billionaire Jeff Bezos. Information about this was officially confirmed on the website of the aerospace company, writes daily.afisha.ru.
The upcoming NS-31 mission will be unique, since for the first time since 1963, when Valentina Tereshkova made her historic flight, an all-female crew will go into space. In addition to Perry, the flight will include CBS Mornings host Gayle King and the fiancée of the Amazon founder Lauren Sanchez. The launch is scheduled for spring.
The upcoming flight will be the eleventh manned launch under the New Shepard program and the thirty-first mission in the history of Blue Origin.
