At a time when the world is in dire need of trust, dialogue and peace, Turkmenistan calls for friendship and stability. This was stated by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Turkmenistan Ahmet Demirok in an interview with the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan".
He also stressed that the deep historical ties between the Turkish and Turkmen peoples, high-level mutual visits, as well as close cooperation on bilateral and multilateral platforms have given the relations between the two countries a strategic nature.
“Türkiye was not only the first country to recognize Turkmenistan’s independence, but was also among the first states to support its status of permanent neutrality in the UN,” A. Demirok reminded.
The Ambassador noted important projects successfully completed in Turkmenistan, namely: the opening of energy, transport and medical facilities, as well as the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Fragi.
“In the conditions of instability and difficulties that the modern world is facing, I am convinced that Magtymguly Fragi’s ideas and teachings on unity and solidarity should be correctly understood by all humanity,” the Turkish ambassador emphasized.
