1. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent sincere congratulations and best wishes to Mikhail Kavelashvili on the occasion of taking office as President of Georgia. “We highly value the friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Georgia and hope for their further development and strengthening in the interests of the peoples of both countries,” the head of state noted in his message.
2. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia, President of the World Aquatics Organization Hussein Al-Musallam.During the meeting, the priorities of the state policy of Turkmenistan in the field of physical culture and sports, as well as international cooperation in this area were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the development of water sports.
3. The first large-scale exhibition of Turkmen art has started in Brussels as part of Civilisations Winter Edition, which presents unique national artifacts and demonstrates the cultural wealth of Turkmenistan. The exhibition features handmade jewelry, traditional carpets with unique patterns and exquisite textiles, revealing the depth of national artistic traditions.
4. A meeting was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad with a delegation of the state-owned company of Pakistan. Pakistani businessmen expressed great interest in intensifying contacts with Turkmen entrepreneurs to further expand and increase bilateral trade. In this regard, the parties discussed the possibility of organizing an exhibition of Pakistani goods in Ashgabat to establish partnerships and exchange business ideas.
5. Representatives of Kalmyk State University and Magtymguly Turkmen State University held an online meeting to discuss the prospects for bilateral cooperation in the field of education. The dialogue participants considered the possibilities of implementing joint educational programs, including a double degree program and academic exchanges for teachers and students.
6. In the Choganly residential area of the Bagtyyarlyk etrap of the city of Ashgabat, opening ceremonies of a new phase of the residential complex named after Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan took place. Each of the two-story modern cottages has five rooms.Conditions for a comfortable stay have been created here. Guests of the ceremony also visited the administrative building of the residential complex and a museum dedicated to the life of Malikguly Berdimuhamedov. During the ceremony, the new residents were given the keys to the apartments.

7. The Armenian Parliament will consider a bill on the republic's accession to the European Union in February. This was announced by the press secretary of the Speaker of Parliament Movses Harutyunyan. The bill, approved by the government on January 9, will be included in the agenda of the session on February 11-14. Earlier, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan noted that the final decision will be made at a national referendum.
8. Geologists have discovered that a fault in the East African Rift Valley is developing faster than expected. The fissure in the Ethiopian desert, which formed in 2005, is growing by 1,5 cm annually. Professor Ken McDonald from the University of California predicts that a complete breakup of the continent could occur in 1-5 million years, and not in tens of millions of years, as previously thought. Possible consequences include the flooding of the valley by the waters of the Indian Ocean and the formation of a new continent - the “Nubian continent”.

9. The Basketball Federation of Turkmenistan has begun selecting young basketball players, boys and girls born in 2008, to participate in the “Basketball Without Borders” camp. The selection is carried out jointly with the NBA and FIBA. Applications are accepted until January 26.
