A conference dedicated to declaring 2025 the International Year of Peace and Trust was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Azerbaijan. The event was attended by scientists from the National Academy of
Sciences of Azerbaijan, representatives of local media and Turkmen students studying in Azerbaijan. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Speakers at the conference spoke about the history and significance of Turkmenistan’s positive neutrality. Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Azerbaijan Gurbanmammet Elyasov focused on the concept of activities and priorities of Turkmenistan within the framework of the International Year of Peace and Trust.
He also announced preparations for holding a major international forum in Ashgabat in December 2025 dedicated to this event, the International Day of Neutrality and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.
