Within the framework of the project to create a logistics center of Turkmenistan in the Astrakhan region, a large-scale international business forum will be held in 2025.This event will become a key platform for discussing a joint Russian-Turkmen project, which is planned to be implemented on the basis of a port special economic zone, writes the online publication "A24".

Minister of Foreign Relations of the Astrakhan Region Vladimir Golovkov emphasized the importance of ensuring the full load of the project: - It is necessary to ensure 100 percent cargo load of these projects. That is why we agreed with our Turkmen partners to hold a large business forum with the participation of entrepreneurs from both countries,” he said.

At the 2025 forum, business representatives will be able not only to discuss prospects for cooperation, but also to conclude specific contracts. Particular attention will be paid to the creation of a shipping line between the Astrakhan ports and the port of Turkmenbashi. Representatives of other Russian regions are also invited to participate in the negotiations.

Currently, representatives of the regional government of the Astrakhan region are actively discussing the program with colleagues from Ashgabat, preparing for this significant event, the source added.
