A working meeting of experts from Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan on comparing data on customs statistics of mutual trade in goods was held in Turkmenabat, in the building of Lebap velayat customs office. This is reported on the website of the Customs Service of Turkmenistan.
The parties discussed the methodologies of formation of data on foreign trade in goods statistics applied by the customs services of both countries, as well as compared the data on customs statistics of foreign trade in the directions “export of Uzbekistan - import of Turkmenistan” and “import of Uzbekistan - export of Turkmenistan” by the end of 2023.
The meeting was organized within the framework of the Protocol between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the exchange of information on the movement of goods in mutual trade of July 14, 2022, the source said.
