The delegation of the Institute of Engineering, Technical and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Current Solutions to Water Transport Problems”, which was held in Astrakhan within the framework of the Caspian Scientific and Educational Congress.
University staff presented their developments and achievements in the field of digitalization of transit systems and the use of geographic information technologies in transport infrastructure.
In their speeches, the Turkmen delegation also informed the forum participants about the role of the Turkmenbashy International Seaport in international cargo transportation, especially in the context of transit cargo transportation from neighboring countries, as well as the role of the port in the formation of a multimodal transport system.
Representatives of the Turkmen university also spoke about the port’s new tariff system, the proposed opportunities for transporting grain crops and prospects for development as the largest transport hub in the region.
