In the semi-final match of the Asian Cup among players under 23 years old, held in Qatar, the national team of Uzbekistan won a convincing victory over Indonesia with a score of 2:0. This result provided the Uzbek football players with a coveted ticket to the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris.

Goals for the Uzbekistan national team were scored by Humain Norchaev in the 68th minute and, in his own goal, by Indonesian player Pratama Arhan in the 86th minute of the match.

The three best teams at the end of the Asian Cup receive the right to represent their countries at the Olympic football tournament. In the final, which will take place on May 3, the Uzbek team will compete with the winner of the Japan-Iraq pair.

If they win the Asian Cup, the Olympic team of Uzbekistan will be in a group with the teams of Paraguay, Mali and Israel, and if they lose, their opponents will be the teams of Spain, Egypt and the Dominican Republic.

Uzbekistan will play at the Olympics for the first time. The tournament is attended by teams of players under 23 years of age. Each team has the right to enter three players over this age.

The Olympic football tournament will be held from July 24 to August 10 in seven cities in France.
