IT giant Xiaomi presented the world with its first electric car - SU7. In less than 30 minutes after orders opened, 50 000 copies were reserved. Auto.ru reports this with reference to CarNewsChina.
More than 2 million people watched the broadcast of SU7's online presentation. In China, prices for the Xiaomi SU7 electric sedan start at 30 000 USD, which makes it more affordable than, for example, the Tesla Model 3.
The basic version of the SU7 is equipped with one 299 hp engine. and a battery of 73,6 or 94,3 kWh. The power reserve is 700 or 830 kilometers, respectively.
The top version received two electric motors with a total power of 673 hp. and a 101kWh battery. It travels 810 kilometers without recharging and accelerates to 100 km/h in just 2,78 seconds.
The equipment of the Xiaomi SU7 includes adaptive shock absorbers, pneumatic elements in the suspension, sports seats, a panoramic roof, and active aerodynamic elements. The media system with 7,1 and 16,1-inch screens runs on Xiaomi’s own operating system. An original semi-autonomous driving system has also been developed for the electric car.
