An unusual software glitch has paralyzed self-service gas stations in New Zealand. February 29, a date that occurs once every four years, became a “stumbling block” for the software, which led to the shutdown of the gas station.
This is reported by gazeta.ru with reference to Bloomberg.
Z Energy, Allied Petroleum and Gull, three large fuel companies, are facing this problem. Automatic gas stations do not function, but refueling at staffed stations is available.
Representatives of the companies believe that it was the date of February 29 that caused the failure. We are working together with contractors to fix the problem.
