Scientists from New Zealand have found that regularly eating kiwi can improve your mood. The study, conducted by the University of Otago, involved 155 people with low vitamin C levels. They were divided into three groups: one group received vitamin C supplements, one received a placebo, and one received two kiwis a day. This was reported by MIR 24 with reference to the British Journal of Nutrition.
After four days, participants in the third group who ate kiwi showed improved mood. They became more cheerful and energetic. Vitamin C supplements also had a positive effect on mood, but the effect was less pronounced.
Previously, scientists found that two kiwis a day provide the daily intake of vitamin C for adults.
