Turkmen University of Engineering and Technology named after Oguz Han entered the top eight leaders of THE Awards Asia-2024 in the Student Recruitment Campaign of the Year.

The Times Higher Education Awards Asia, which has been running for 19 years in the UK and Ireland and is widely known as the Oscars of Higher Education, is now fully established in Asia under the name THE Awards Asia. It recognizes the achievements of universities in various areas such as academics, leadership, management and professional services.

80 finalists from 17 countries are competing for the sixth edition of the award. This year, more than 600 applications were received in 10 categories, covering all areas of university activity. Oguz Han University of Engineering and Technology entered the top eight in the “Student Attraction Campaign of the Year” nomination.

Oguz han University of Engineering and Technology is recognized as a leading university committed to attracting talented students and creating an active student community. In recent years, to attract a larger number of gifted applicants, the university has organized two events: a comprehensive Olympiad for schoolchildren “Talented Generations of Oguz Han” and a competition of innovative technological projects for youth 18-35 years old. Both competitions increased the recognition of the university and its educational programs among potential applicants.

The best universities in Asia according to THE Awards Asia 2024 include universities from Singapore, the Republic of Korea, Hong Kong, Malaysia, India, China, Turkey, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, Pakistan, Cambodia and other countries. This award testifies to the competitiveness of universities in Turkmenistan at the Asian and global level. According to UniRank, there are currently 6,065 officially recognized higher education institutions in Asia.

The winners will be announced on April 29 at a ceremony in Kuala Lumpur, which will conclude the first day of the Asia University Summit, supported by Sunway University.
