The study found that marriages can be divided into five types. Psychologists studied more than six thousand couples to assess spouses' satisfaction with family life and identify factors influencing the quality of relationships. This was reported by MIR 24 with reference to The Family Journal.

Unviable couples

Lowest level of satisfaction.
They are created by young, poorly educated people with low qualifications.
They often think about divorce.

Conflict couples

They look like they are not viable, but the spouses agree with each other on religious issues.
They are poorly educated, have low income, and adhere to religious heterogamy.
They often think about divorce and struggle with dissatisfaction.

Traditional couples

They find satisfaction in raising children and religious harmony.
Created early, spouses are more educated and have higher incomes.
They think about divorce and break up less often.

Harmonious couples

They may differ in their views on raising children.
They tend to be older, have fewer children, higher education, and jobs.
Men in such families have low incomes, while women can work full time.
Divorces in this group are rare.

Viable couples

They have high satisfaction rates in all areas.
Able to resolve conflicts with ease.
Created by older, more educated and economically stable spouses with strong communication skills.

Psychologists also listed rules of communication that will help improve family relationships:

- don't judge your partner.
- do not divide each other’s emotions into right and wrong.
- when making important decisions, rely on both the voice of your heart and rationality.
- share your feelings, and this should be done at the very moment when they arose.
