The British Collins Dictionary has recognized the abbreviation “AI” (artificial intelligence) as the word of the year, “AIF” reports with reference to the project portal.
Artificial intelligence has become a topic of heated debate, intense scrutiny and bold predictions, leading to its selection as the most used word of 2023.
Also, among popular words, Collins Dictionary researchers identified de-influencing (a trend in which users tell which products advertised by bloggers are not worth buying), nepo baby (children of celebrities who have succeeded in a career similar to their parents) and others.
Last year, the Collins Dictionary word of the year was permacrisis. The word describes a long period of instability and insecurity.
