Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with Iranian Ambassador Golam Abbas Arbab Khales, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of issues of bilateral cooperation, including the prospect of their expansion. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the National Leader of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Iran in May 2023, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported.
At the end of the meeting, Rashid Meredov thanked the Iranian ambassador for his contribution to the development of Turkmen-Iranian relations and wished him success in his future work. The Iranian ambassador, in turn, expressed his gratitude to the Turkmen side for the support and assistance in the implementation of his diplomatic mission.
