Russia expects that in the near future Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation will sign an agreement on the creation of a Russian-Turkmen university, said Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk on the sidelines of the exhibition “Healthcare, education and sports in the era of the Renaissance of a new era of a powerful state”, reports TASS.
“We hope that in the very near future we will determine the range of specialties in which students will study here, and there will be Russian teachers. Naturally, the national component will be present in these programs very seriously; we will provide the most advanced educational programs”, - said the Deputy Prime Minister.
According to Overchuk, the issues of creating a Turkmen-Russian university in Turkmenistan were discussed the day before, during a meeting with President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as negotiations between the co-chairs of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian commission.
