Today, an official visit of the delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, headed by Minister of Economy Mikail Jabbarov, took place in Ashgabat. As part of the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation held negotiations with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov.
According to the official website of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, during the negotiations the parties discussed the prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in various fields. Particular attention was paid to trade, economic, energy, oil and gas, transport, transit and agricultural areas.
The parties also expressed satisfaction with the close interaction in the cultural and humanitarian field. In this regard, the intention to continue joint events on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi was confirmed.
