During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for further cooperation in the field of agriculture. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that agriculture is one of the most important sectors of the national economy, and ensuring food security is directly related to the well-being of the people
Von Pentz congratulated the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty on the upcoming Independence Day of Turkmenistan and expressed John Deere’s readiness to expand cooperation.
As Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted, Turkmenistan is taking targeted measures to modernize the production capacity of the agro-industrial complex, in which advanced technologies and the best world experience are being introduced.
The meeting continued with an interested discussion of the prospects for further bilateral cooperation. In this regard, the long-term nature of established business contacts with John Deere, which is one of Turkmenistan’s long-standing reliable partners in the agro-industrial sector, was stated.
It is worth noting that this year marks the 30th anniversary of this active interaction. A clear confirmation of the dynamic development of the long-term partnership is the increase in the number of different types of agricultural equipment supplied by the American company to Turkmenistan. At the same time, specialized John Deere brand equipment intended for the agricultural sector works effectively in the soil and climatic conditions of the country.
One of the current areas of long-term bilateral cooperation is the training of qualified specialists for Turkmenistan by John Deere.
