The number of parents dreaming of naming a girl Barbie has increased by 300% recently after watching the film of the same name by Greta Gerwig. The popularity of the name Ken for newborn boys has increased by 200%.
The first wave of popularity of the Barbie name came at the end of the 50s of the last century, when the first blonde Barbie was released. In the mid-60s, the name Barbie again became one of the most popular for girls, then there was a long decline in interest.
