Turkish hotels are unlikely to completely abandon the “all-inclusive” system, but various options for a range of services for foreign tourists may appear, reports RIA Novosti with reference to the words of Osman Ayik, an adviser to the mayor of Antalya.
The head of the Confederation of Merchants and Craftsmen of Türkiye proposed to completely abandon the all-inclusive system, who said that tourists who stay in hotels without getting out are depriving sellers who live mainly from tourism. In response to this statement, Osman Ayik replied that various tourists visit Türkiye, and for some all-inclusive is an ideal option, while for others a boarding house or a hotel without breakfast is enough. Therefore, he called for changes to the “all-inclusive” system, when each tourist will be able to include the options that he personally needs in the basic set of services of such a system and pay only for them.
The need to abandon or modernize the all-inclusive system is also caused by the fact that huge amounts of food unused by tourists in hotels are simply thrown away.
