On Wednesday, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Vepa Hajiyev met with the Chairman of the Intergovernmental Council of Road Workers (ICR) of the CIS Buri Karimov, who is in Ashgabat on a visit.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the parties discussed the main areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the CIS ICR, as well as the prospects for the development of international transport corridors in the region.

The importance of comprehensive programs of Turkmenistan aimed at modernizing the material and technical base of the transport industry, as well as the creation of large logistics centers in the country, providing regional coordination of multimodal transportation, was noted.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the introduction of high-tech innovations in the field of road construction in Turkmenistan.
