The export platform TurkmenExporters.com.tm for the first time in Turkmenistan launches a new type of service - the ability to find out the FEACN code of a product online.
FEACN code or “Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity” is a system for classifying goods in international trade. This code, usually consisting of six digits (in some countries - from 7 to 10), is indicated in the documents when exporting or importing goods. Goods according to the FEACN code are classified by purpose, as well as by sectors of the economy (textile products, food products, etc.).
Such factors as the amount of customs payments, the process of customs declaration, the requirements for certification of goods, the compliance of the goods and their packaging with technical regulations, and others depend on the FEACN code. Incorrect indication of the FEACN code entails problems in the form of delays in customs clearance, fines and even suspicion of smuggling and seizure of the cargo.

Two new sections have been launched on the site – “Ready goods for shipment” and “Free trucks for loading”. The first will provide information on the availability of large consignments of export goods from Turkmen manufacturers at the best prices. The “Free trucks for loading” section will be useful for both exporters and importers: it will assist in quickly finding a free vehicle to deliver consignments of goods from Turkmenistan to other countries or to Turkmenistan from abroad.
