Today is Canada Day. On this occasion, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent warm congratulations and best wishes to the Governor General of Canada, Ms. Mary Simon, and the people of the country.
The head of the Turkmen state wished Mrs. Mary Simon good health, happiness and prosperity, and the people of Canada - peace, further progress and prosperity, according to today's newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan".
Canada Day is the main public holiday in Canada and is celebrated annually on July 1st. On this day in 1867, the first colonies of British North America - the provinces of Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and New Bronswick, united in a confederation called the Dominion of Canada, formed a new country.
