Global oil demand will reach 105,7 million bpd in 2028, up 5,9 million bpd from 2022 levels. This was reported in the June report of the International Energy Agency (IEA), reports the electronic newspaper “Nebit-Gaz”.
At the same time, the agency explains that “based on existing policy settings”, the growth of global oil demand in the forecast period will slow down as the so-called energy transition progresses.
But while peak oil demand is around the corner, continued increases in petrochemicals and air travel mean that overall consumption continues to rise throughout the forecast period.
