The police of the Republic of Korea detained the Briton while trying to climb without insurance on the skyscraper Lotte World Tower, which is considered the fifth tallest in the world. According to TASS with reference to the KBS TV channel, the man was able to reach the 73rd floor. In total, the building has 123 floors.
The authorities involved 69 people and 12 pieces of equipment in the operation to detain the climber. It turned out to be 24-year-old Briton George King-Thompson, he is being interrogated by the police in the case of illegal entry into private territory.
Earlier, in 2019, King Thompson climbed the tallest building in the UK - the Shard skyscraper, for which, as reported by the British media, he was sentenced to prison.
