The annual competition of oratory in Japanese was held at the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmammet Azadi.
According to the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper, the competition is traditionally organized in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan in Turkmenistan.
The participants of the competition were students of DATMDDI and the Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan named after Oguz Han.
The purpose of this competition was to improve the knowledge of the Japanese language in Turkmenistan, to increase interest in the rich and original history and culture of Japan.
The competition was held in two categories that determined the level of knowledge.
Representatives of the Embassy of Japan in Turkmenistan and specialists from the Japan Foundation acted as members of the jury.

In the nomination "basic level of knowledge of the Japanese language", the first prize was taken by freshman Tavus Myradova from the Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan named after Oguz Han.
Freshmen Lachyn Gylyjova and Aynabat Toymammedova from the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmammet Azadi also took second and third places.
The best average level of knowledge of the Japanese language was demonstrated by Bagul Hummetgulyeva, a 5th year student of the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmammet Azadi.
The second and third places, respectively, were taken by students of a technical university Sahra Akmyradova and Rozay Resulkuliyeva.
The winners of the first and second prizes received the right to participate in the 26th Oratory Competition among Japanese speakers from Central Asian countries, which will be held in May in Kyrgyzstan.
