Attendance figures of World Cup in Qatar after the first round of group stage show 94%, the FIFA press-service reports.
More than three million tickets were sold for the tournament. The official figures show that the average attendance of the matches is 94% in comparison with the capacity of the stadium for the event.
The match between Brazil and Serbia (2-0) has become by far the most attended match of the 2022 World Cup. On the same day, the FIFA fan Festival in Doha gathered 98 thousand football fans.
The organizers of the tournament in Qatar show every game of the 2022 World Cup on giant screens, and also provide free entertainment between games with the participation of famous musical artists.
As of today, the tickets quantity for the majority of games are limited or none at all. Fans are reminded about the necessity to check the website: FIFA.com/tickets on a regular basis, because there can be issued an additional batches of tickets and a resale platform is open.
We remind that the Championship is held in the Middle East for the first time. The tournament will last untill December 18.
