The head coach of the national futsal team of Turkmenistan Guvanch Kanaev told what task is expected to be fulfilled by his wards at the Asian Cup – 2022.

The specialist noted that for the national team of Turkmenistan this continental tournament is the first since 2012. As per the opinion of Guvanch Kanayev, the national team of Turkmenistan has a chance to make it into history by entering playoffs for the first time ever.

“For 10 years we couldn’t reach the finals of the tournament, but now we’re here. We’re expecting interesting matches against Uzbekistan, Bahrain and Tajikistan. We are ready for every team, and we hope to get the best results to get to the next round,” the official website of the AFС quotes Kanayev.

We remind that on September 27 starts the Asian Futsal Cup – 2022 in Kuwait. The tournament will last two weeks and will end on October 8.

On September 27, the national team of Turkmenistan will play its first match against the team of Uzbekistan. The game will start at 13:00 Ashgabat time. Guvancha Kanayev's team will fight with the national team of Uzbekistan at the Saad al-Abdullah Arena in Kuwait City. The Turkmenistan—Bahrain game will be held there on September 29. And in the final match of the group stage, the national team will face Tajikistan. This fight will take place on October 1.
