President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, having signed the relevant Decree at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers today, approved the State Program for the Comprehensive Development of Seismological Science in Turkmenistan for 2022-2028 and the Action Plan for its implementation, announced the “Watan” news program of the Turkmen television.
The document was signed in order to conduct “fundamental scientific-theoretical and scientific-practical research in the field of seismology, further improve the efficiency of scientific research, study modern geodynamic activity, identify patterns of physical processes in seismogenic zones and seismically hazardous areas during seismic events, train young scientists in this profile”.
Also, the document instructs the Academy of Sciences, relevant ministries and departments to ensure the implementation of the above State Program.
