The prospects for further development of bilateral partnership, including in such an important area as the energy sector were discussed today by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov with the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates Suhail Al-Mazroui, the information program “Watan” of the Turkmen television reports.

The Minister of Energy of the United Arab Emirates arrived to Ashgabat on a working visit.

The energy field is a strategical sector of economy for both countries.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that, while implementing the strategy of comprehensive modernization and diversification of the national fuel and energy complex, Turkmenistan is oriented towards attracting innovations, digital technologies and advanced developments in the field of production and processing of hydrocarbon raw materials, the formation of a modern specialized infrastructure. And here there are favorable prerequisites for building up the established effective cooperation, which has many years of successful experience of joint work. In this context, cooperation in the field of “green” energy, the practical use of environmentally friendly renewable energy sources, in particular the sun and wind, is also seen as relevant.

Expressing gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the active attention to the issues of bilateral relations, the guest confirmed the desire of the UAE business circles for a long-term partnership with Turkmenistan and participation in new promising projects.

At the same time, the high interest of the UAE business circles in the large-scale transformation programs and infrastructure projects being implemented in Turkmenistan, which provides ample opportunities for enhancing productive business ties and investment activities, was noted.
