Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan Askar Tazhibaev, the Watan Information Program of the State Television reported.

Congratulating the diplomat on his appointment to a responsible post and wishing him success in the field of further strengthening of multifaceted interstate cooperation, the head of state noted that the Turkmen-Kazakh relations are successfully developing, acquiring new specific content.

During the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary exchanged views on the prospects for interstate cooperation that has great potential. In this regard, implementation of the agreements reached during the state visit of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Ashgabat and the meeting of the leaders of the two countries on the sidelines of the Third Consultative Forum of the Heads of State of Central Asia last year were touched upon.

Noting with satisfaction that Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan are following the course of a trusting strategic partnership, the head of state and the diplomat expressed their full readiness to intensify traditional cooperation and implement new joint projects that would further bring the friendly peoples closer together.
