Today, the Twelfth Meeting of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding was held under the Chairmanship of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the Oguzkent Hotel in Ashgabat.

According to the electronic newspaper "Turkmenistan", the agenda of the Meeting included: discussion of important tasks facing the Association, awarding Turkmen and foreign members with state tributes, admission of new members of the Association and other organizational issues.

The Meeting was addressed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who noted that the priorities of the industry are the restoration of ancient ancestral lines, the preservation of the purity of the breed and the increase in the number of horses. According to him, it is necessary to further intensify cooperation with foreign horse breeders, as well as to train qualified personnel in various areas of horse breeding and equestrian sports.

Then, foreign members of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding spoke via video link at the meeting. They congratulated the Head of state on his confident victory in the presidential elections and the National Holiday of the Turkmen Horse and thanked him for his contribution to the development of Akhal-Teke horse breeding.

Then, to the applause of the Meeting participants, Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed Decrees on giving the Honorary title to the country's horse breeders as well as the Honorary title of Türkmenistanyň at gazanan atşynasy ("Honored Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan") to the members of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding, including foreign ones, and admission of new members into the Association.

The Head of state congratulated Turkmen and foreign horse breeders on the National Day of the Horse, thanking them for their work to popularize Akhal-Teke horses in the world, and he wished them professional success.
